We strive to offer educational programs that are genealogical or historically oriented. Frequently, in addition to our monthly featured program, we provide a short (usually 15-20 minutes) 'hornbook' session by an Education Committee member that focuses on a genealogy research topic.

March 5 (GEM) Jim Jones, Marilyn Christian, Doris Hunt, and Philip Adderley, CGSM "Becoming a Genealogy Detective" (Focuses upon beginning researchers, and includes some intermediate level material) plus Genealogy Library Tour.

Location is at Broadmoor Branch Library. Workshop hours are 9am - 1pm

July 14 - 16 Eight speakers offering 24 sessions Three day genealogical conference at Angelina College, 3500 South First Street (Hwy 59 South - two miles south of Loop 187), Lufkin, Texas.

August 13 Trevia Wooster Beverley, Professional Genealogist and Lecturer All day seminar: Topics:

(3) The Natchez Trace Papers
(4) Women and Their Records;
